Christchurch Greenbank approached MCFB during the summer as they wished to actively support their community as the tough economic climate hits households in their local area. We were very keen and happy to renew our presence in the Greenbank area providing greater convenience for those who need some food support. The new distribution centre opens between 12.15 and 12.45 on Nov 9th and will run at those times every Wednesday. The volunteers, drawn from the church community, will provide a warm welcome. Anyone wanting to visit the foodbank needs to make a booking via one of the referral agencies, contact details for some are on the MCFB website.
